Mr. Kenney is a founding member and managing shareholder of Kenney & Sams, P.C. He focuses his practice in trial and appellate advocacy. Mr. Kenney has extensive experience in the litigation of tort and contract claims, including all types of business disputes, employment law, insurance law, personal injury, construction and real estate disputes.

Mr. Kenney has successfully tried cases before every level of the state and federal trial court system in Massachusetts, and has also served as an appellate advocate before the Massachusetts Appellate Division, Massachusetts Appeals Court, Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He serves as New England regional trial counsel for several major corporations.

The Martindale Hubbell National Law Directory has awarded Mr. Kenney an AV Rating, the highest rating for legal ability and professional ethics. The Massachusetts Attorney General appointed Mr. Kenney to serve as a Special Assistant Attorney General (from 1999 to 2005) to represent the Commonwealth in litigation matters involving construction defect claims, constitutional law, and eminent domain matters.

Boston Magazine ranked Mr. Kenney as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Massachusetts. In a peer-reviewed survey Mr. Kenney was named a "Superlawyer" in the areas of business litigation and civil litigation defense. This designation is limited to the top 5 percent of attorneys in the Commonwealth.

Mr. Kenney's success as a trial lawyer has been reviewed in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly newspaper's Top Trial Verdicts and Settlements during the past several years.

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Kenney advises clients and various industries on risk management issues, and counsels public officials and political candidates on election law and public policy matters. He served on the adjunct faculty at Boston University School of Law, and frequently writes and lectures for business groups, trade associations, and bar associations.

Mr. Kenney is active in bar and community activities. He is a member of the Governors Judicial Nominating Commission; The American Bar Association (Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section); The Massachusetts Bar Association (Lecturer on Legal Research and Writing); The Boston Bar Association (past Co-Chair of Law Day in the Schools Program); The Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association (President-Elect and Director); The Federal Bar Association (Treasurer, Member of Executive Committee - Mass. Chapter); Massachusetts Trial Lawyers Association (Treasurer & Director); The Boston Inn of Court (Founding Member, Member of Executive Committee, Co-President 2001 - 2002); The International Association of Defense Counsel (Construction and Insurance Committees); National Foundation for Judicial Excellence (Massachusetts Judicial Liaison); Defense Research Institute; Associated Builders and Contractors (2nd Vice Chair & Director); and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (Co-Chair Civil Litigation Curriculum Advisory Committee).

Mr. Kenney received his Bachelors Degree from Holy Cross College, where he received an NCAA Scholarship. He earned his law degree from Boston University School of Law, where he was named a Paul J. Liacos scholar.
